Knowing your skin type is absolutely necessary in order to make a right decision about a proper skin care treatment, which is suitable for your skin needs. A woman looks the way she deserves. To always look great, the first step is to determine your skin type. Simply wash your face with a gentle cleanser, wait 15 to 30 minutes, and then hold a facial tissue against your face for 5 seconds.
1. Normal SkinNormal skin is ideal. Least problematic type, it produces enough sebum to keep skin supple, soft, plump clean and smooth and has a good circulation and healthy complexion and with small to medium sized pores. Normal skin has good advantages. Even with a minimum care, it will look good well into your advanced age.
2. Dry SkinAs we get older, our skin naturally produces less sebum, which is why more mature skin is so often dry. If your skin is dry or if you see skin flaking off, dry or tight on your face, even after you have wiped it you probably are a dry skin type. Dry skin can easily develop a sallow tone, wrinkles, and fine pores, and it is very prone to aging and irritating. It might still look great on a young person, but, to keep it healthy, you should apply thorough care and use regular treatment with natural masks and moisturizers and drinking enough water.
3. Oily SkinOily skin is problematic. Just look at most any teenager going through hormonal changes and you can see oily skin. Or do the tissues test. Oily skin will cause obvious oil stains on most of the tissue. Oily skin looks greasy, thick, coarse, and shiny, has enlarged pores, and tends to break into
acne. Toward pimples, blackheads, whitehead. A good thing, though, is that oily skin is not prone much to aging and wrinkling. Careful cleaning, minimizing of carbohydrate consumption, and avoiding rich creams can be helpful in improving the quality of oily skin.
4. Combination Skin (Combination of Oily an Dry Skin)Combination skin is like having a split-personality. Like that of most women, one part may be dry while another is oily. The tissue will have traces of oil coming from your nose and forehead, but will be clean in the areas that touched your cheeks. Dry skin is around the eyes and cheeks should be treated with rich creams and moisturizers. While oily areas, usually on the forehead and nose, will benefit from frequent and thorough cleaning.
5. Sensitive SkinA person with sensitive skin has a lot more trouble with environmental factors. Sensitive skin is usually very dry, tends to feel tight, and becomes inflamed and irritated easily. The skin burns more easily in the sun; they have more sensitivity to cosmetics (particularly if perfumed) and may experience rashes or a burning sensation due to overexposure to wind, sun, and extreme shifts in temperature. It is the most problematic and fragile type of skin, which needs a very special type of care.
